The odds are in.
If you want to see if you’re the biggest loser, this year, you better be in Vegas.
The first day of the NBA finals has ended.
It has been an eventful weekend, and if you’ve been following the action closely, you can see how things are looking now.
Here are our odds on how this could end.
1: The Warriors win: The Warriors are going to win, but it’s not going to be pretty.
They have a huge cushion to build on after the Warriors won the NBA title in 2016, and they’re looking to build off that success this year.
2: The Clippers win: The defending champions will be the favorite to win this year’s NBA championship.
The Clippers have a ton of depth in their roster, but they’re a team that can struggle at times, especially if you look at their frontcourt, with Paul Pierce and Blake Griffin struggling mightily this season.
They’re also a team who struggled early in the season, losing five of their first six games.
They might not be able to get back on track, but the Clippers should be able get their act together in the second half of the season.
3: The Thunder win: This will be a huge one.
OKC is going to come into the Finals as the favorites to win the series.
They’ve been playing well this season, but Oklahoma City will need to win to stay in the hunt.
4: The Jazz win: Utah is a team to watch in this year to see how they respond to being a playoff team.
The Jazz are going through a rebuild, but that rebuild is coming together and will continue into the playoffs.
They could be a tough team to beat in the finals, and a tough loss would be devastating for the Jazz.
5: The Bucks win: Milwaukee’s star power has been a major reason for the team’s success this season in spite of its struggles this year (and a lot of that is because of Giannis Antetokounmpo).
The Bucks are a team with the potential to win in the NBA, but if they don’t come out strong this year they could end up with the worst record in the league.
6: The Cavaliers win: Cleveland is looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2016-17 season, and that could be the case this year with LeBron James returning to Cleveland.
The Cavaliers are a playoff-caliber team, but I’d like to see them play at least some of their games on the road, and then get their game against a good team in a home-and-home series.
7: The Mavericks win: Dallas will be one of the teams to watch if the Warriors win this season’s NBA title.
The Mavericks have the potential, and could be one to watch as they try to turn things around.
8: The Grizzlies win: I’m not sure what happened in Cleveland, but things don’t seem to be going well for the Grizzlies.
Memphis is a solid team in the Western Conference, but its not going anywhere soon.
9: The Knicks win: If the Warriors can keep up their success in the regular season, the Knicks could be in the mix for the NBA’s best record.
New York is a good club, but there is always the chance that a few things go wrong for the Knicks.
10: The Lakers win: There’s no way the Lakers could be considered favorites to make the Finals, and it’s also not likely that the Warriors will come out of the gates this season with a playoff spot on the line.
But I’m sure there will be some upsets along the way, so it would be interesting to see which team is in control of the Lakers this year and the rest of the regular-season.
